Thanks everyone!
Yes, its been a bit of a nightmare, but hopefully the seller will do the right thing, and help with a partial refund.
I am really happy with the brakes, they look awesome

Right, where do I start with this update?!
Firstly, the brakes are on.

However, things really were not that simple!
I took the decision (after much faffing) to fit the kit as it was, after getting some advice from a few garages they advised that the discs and pads would be matched and I wouldn't have any issues. All seemed OK, and I decided to get the place who did my coils and alignment (they know their stuff) to do the work.
Dropped it off at 10 am and literally a few hours later, get a phone call telling me that one of the front calipers is leaking fluid all over the place! The design of the F56 JCW calipers means the fluid line to feed the outer two pistons is on the outside of the caliper, rather than an internal channel. This was damaged and had a hole in it. Repairable, but not when my car was in bits with half of the new brake kit fitted, and also they would only be able to repair it with copper pipe - so would look shit!
Luckily, I had my brand new pair of calipers sat at home that I had planned to sell on, so I had to take those down for them to switch the pads into and get the kit fitted, but sadly for me that now means I've had my fingers burned by the eBay seller as I'm left with a pair of used calipers, one of which needs a £130 repair! The plan for this set is now to have both of them fully refurbished by a Brembo brake specialist back to brand new condition with the pipework renewed and also a brand new chilli red paint job. Then sell them on.
All in all a nightmare day yesterday, but they look awesome now they are on! I think I need to have them bled again though, as the pedal has to be almost halfway down before any real bite. They really are a powerful set up though as they can lock the ABS pretty easily.

Received my full JCW brake kit from Germany today!
They arrived covered in brake fluid so I've spent the evening cleaning them up - really chuffed with the condition of these, they are like new now they've had a clean.
Fingers crossed I will be fitting them on Wednesday along with some HEL braided lines.
Once on, this will be the 1st F56 out there sporting these, as you cant buy these from MINI yet.

I could do with some opinions though about these discs - as you can see there are raised grooves which can be slightly felt when running a finger over the disc face. I'm not sure if they have been skimmed (badly) or if they need to be skimmed before fitting?

Bit of an update.... this time magazine related!
The car will be featuring in the next issue of Modern MINI magazine, out on sale this Friday.
Really happy with the write up, but as is always the case I've done a few extra mods since the shoot...
In other news, the brakes are going on the car a week today! Cant wait!
The Turbo is the same in the 225i active tourer as the F56 Cooper S - but ONLY with the B46 engine, not the more common B48
Click this link.....
http://www.etk.cc/bmw/EN/searc…/BMW+225i/ECE/11/11_5815/
Then click the part number for the turbo and you can then select 'appliance' and it will show you its used in both the 225i AND the F56 Cooper S, but as I say, only the low emission version of the engine, the B46.....
The part numbers from the 225i active tourer are here:
http://www.etk.cc/bmw/EN/searc…/F45/SAT/BMW+225i/ECE/11/
Acording to that, the turbo is the same, but the pistons are different.
No, I haven't ordered it yet - but have some pictures of it installed if you want to see?
If the F56 JCW is going to use the same engine as the 225 active tourer, look on RealOEM to see what the differences are between that than the stock B48 we have in the Cooper S
OK, well the brake saga continues. MINI don't have an ETA on when you will be able to buy discs and pads for these calipers, and the callipers themselves are not available from them either - even though they all have part numbers and prices???
This evening while trolling German eBay I stumbled across a full front and rear set up complete with the required discs / pads / sensors / lines.... I immediately impulse purchased (as you do!) as they were a bargain. The MINI retail for this lot is £1.3k.
So the good news is that I will now have these on the car much sooner than I originally thought and perhaps even the 1st customer car in the world to actually sport these things.
The discs look rather odd, but the eBay add stated 'undamaged, normal signs of use' so I am hoping the weird looking discs is just either a storage factor, or that they need a good couple of hard stops to sweep the crap off them??

My other callipers (just the housings, no discs or pads) will be up for sale if anyone is interested - as I will be selling them for £400 delivered.
