Try 20-30", not just a few seconds.

A physical modification to the connectors and running a cable to the ECU at the front of your Countryman is required. In Italy, the cost of this modification (and also coding) in MINI is higher than the purchase of the headlights themselves, to double the white reverse light and to turn on the red rear fog light.
Reason why I gave up on my F60 JCW.

In Italy the APP works on ANDROID.
It makes me enter the PSW and choose the 4-digit PIN.
But I don't do anything about it because my MINI F60 JCW is from 2017...
