so the B46 would be the US (California) Configuration, considering that B48M20MO is supposed to be the correct European Cooper S config?
Edit: The European Cooper shows both configs, B46, B48 - who gets which? -
There are a number of B46 engines delivered which where cheaper because of the lower CO2 emmision. Now we get the B48 engine.
I have asked the owner of the F56, which has 290HP with BR Perfomance tuning at the moment, if he has the B46 or B48 engine. Since the B46 engine has the same turbo as the BMW 225i with 231HP it MIGHT be possible that his car has more tuning potential then the B48 engine...
I'll update you guys when i have feedback from him.

Could be difficult - and expensive - to homologate in Europe.
Still, they show also the B46 as 2nd European config...
Very interesting what the US gets. For my former Fiat Abarth 595, they have been delivered with a Twin-Air engine, Europe just got the "old" (but reliable) 1,4 Liter. -
I have contacted BR Performance and they can tune both engines. The B48 will have 10HP less then the B46 engine after tuning. So approx 280HP after tuning!

What's interesting to me is, that the JCW has the b48 engine combined with the charger of the b46 engine (also used in the 225i) whereas the cooper s in Europe has the b48 engine with another charger that is used in the 220i.
Has anybody an idea what the differences between the two chargers

aber ich habe noch mein Zweifels ob alles halt und woll kein Problemen mit Garantie.
