Um die Rennstreckenzeiten zu messen gibt es deutlich bessere und sinnvollere Tools als so eine Stoppuhr. Nettes Gimmick für die Gelegenheitsfahrer aber wer öfter auf Trackdays geht, der wird entweder Harrys Laptimer nutzen oder Systeme von Racelogic...

Jap, der Handschalter kommt erst etwas später, wann genau wissen wir noch nicht. Find ich auch sehr schade, weil für mich nur der Handschalter in Frage kommt...

Genau, in Amerika kann man zum Beispiel auch einen aktuellen M5 mit Handschaltung kaufen, welchen es in Deutschland nicht einmal gegen Aufpreis oder gutes Reden gibt. Deshalb denke ich nicht, dass es mit dem USA Markt zu tun hat. Ich gehe eher davon aus, dass die ein wenig mehr Gewinn/Umsatz generieren wollen und das Auto in den Tests mit der Sportautomatik etwas besser "performen" wird.
320NM stellen nun wirklich kein Problem für das Handschaltgetriebe dar...

bekannt, aber 2012 hat mir das MINI USA produktmanagement trotzdem erklärt, dass sie zwar mächtig stolz seien auf ihre "manual rate" und da nur knapp hinter porsche liegen, trotzdem ist die automatik rate deutlich höher (und tendenz steigend), als in deutschland und mit verlaub: der JCW ist kein sportwagen, sondern "nur" ein hot hatch. somit bleibe ich dabei: dem us markt geschuldet, weil dort der modellmix deutlich stärker richtung S/JCW tendiert, als in europa (ok, den ONE und die diesels bekommen die auch gar nicht erst) und der altersschnitt der MINI käufer höher ist, als bei uns und damit "komfort orientierter". -
und mit verlaub: der JCW ist kein sportwagen, sondern "nur" ein hot hatch.
Habe mich nicht getraut es zu sagen...
