I don't know - but for me I like a loud exhaust
The flap can be closed it its too loud I guess?
In the UK we do not need ECC approval, so the racing tube poses no issues - but I think in Germany you need ECC?

Yes you can close it.
for me, The ECC its not so important.
maybe i order The normal Tube and modify it like The racing Tube.
If ECC is not needed for you, I would get the Racing Tube??
No point in getting the other silencer and then needing to modify it?
The police has its experts, same as with the motor bikes they know exactly what people are going to change and where to look.
The difference between the two tubes is obvious. And it is up to the police to decide whether you can take your car home or whether
it gets towed away. Also the fine will be based on this decision. If changes are moderate they might run a blind eye to it. So, don't
overact.
So German rules sound very strict??
In the UK we have a more relaxed system. Removing the catalytic converter is illegal, but most exhausts are fine, proving they do not go over a certain noise limit (measured in DB)
Just being curious, what is the db limit in the UK?
This has also been regulated by the TÜV and/or EEC.
Hi James!
If the KW V1 is much too hard for you, please contact KW Germany* (where they develop all their stuff). A friend had the opposite problem years ago and KW was very cooperative and friendly to find a solution. He ordered 2 new spring sets with 2 different spring rates. Maybe you can get springs with a softer spring rate or KW can offer another solution for you.
* KW UK is certainly only a sales office.
REMUS
Contragulations to your new sport exhaust! As you mentioned, the rules here on the continent are a lot stricter than in UK. Some companies offer products for continental-EU and products just for export (without any certificate). If you want to have a legal exhaust here, you need a product with such a certificate. I don't know, if the Remus race version has one, but if costumers have 2 volume options, they can turn down the noise - if necessary - to avoid troubles with the police.
Thanks for the advice - to be honest it doesn't bother me too much, its more my girlfriend (who is pregnant!!) who hates the hard ride.
Its quite bouncy on poor quality roads and she finds it very uncomfortable!
Unfortunately the KW V1 has no option to change the rebound settings and the pressure stage.
V2 and especially the V3 can do this.
I have no idea if KW could/would offer an overhaul to change the settings on a V1.
D-Day for the exhaust will be 9am tomorrow morning - I can't bloody wait to hear it!!
